Pakistan Visa Online
Getting a Pakistan eVisa was one of the hardest tasks for travelers as you needed to have an invitation letter and present it at the embassy. However, things have improved significantly since you can apply for a Pakistan visa online. This progress started in January 2019 and there are quite a lot of adjustments taking place.
Pakistan eVisa is now an online process which does not require a visit to the Embassy and Consulate of Pakistan. The application can be completed online for an electronic Pakistan visa. You can apply for Pakistan e-Visa registration form via your mobile, PC, or tablet and receive eVisa letter by email.
Even though things have gotten there, travelers still experience various changes and sometimes have unanswered questions regarding this. However, the Pakistani government has promised its clients that they will keep making things easier.
Exemptions and Visa Free
Since traveling to Pakistan through the online visa requires payment, you may assume that this is the case for all nationals.
However, citizens from Maldives and Iceland have 90 days free visa while those from Nepal and Samoa enjoy 30 days free visa.
Even more amazing is the fact that inhabitants of Trinidad and Tobago, as well as those from Tonga, have an unlimited visa-free opportunity.
The holders of National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistani (NICOP) and Pakistan Origin Card (POC) are not required to have a visa.
Pakistani Electronic Visa
The electronic visa started its operations in January 2019 and now a letter of invitation not required any more. Even before you make the trip, you can use this resourceful website to calculate your fees, find answers to common questions and understand the general process to avoid making ignorant decisions.
Just in a nutshell, the Pakistan online visa has a duration of 3 months which can be extended up to six months. When it comes to the charges, the amount you pay will depend on your country of origin as well as the number of entries. Something else, the processing time is between 7 to 10 days. In the best case scenarios which are rare, you can have your visa within 5 days. That said, Pakistani e-visa allows entry by land e.g. rail, by air or even by sea.
Individuals from Eligible Countries for Pakistan Visa can get Pakistan visa online and the process is quite straightforward without any interviewing process. Visa On Arrival
Something to note as early as now is that this is not a visa but once you make the online application, it allows you to apply for the Pakistan visa on arrival. The name of this visa should not confuse you to think that you can just walk and apply for the visa in a Pakistani Airport on arrival. Rather you’ll need to first apply for the visa online and receive an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization). The entry points are as the ones of the e-visa. This special visa takes about half an hour to process at the airport on arrival. However, the processing time to get ETA is about 48 hours which is quite convenient.
According to the Pakistani government, the duration is 30 days which at this point is unclear whether it can be extended.
A tourist visa on arrival is open to 50 countries while a business visa on arrival allows citizens of 95 countries.
If you are taking a trip as a group for a tour, you are allowed a maximum of 30 days stay through a particular operator. Only nationalities of 24 countries can enjoy this provision.
Online process works for both as well as Pakistan tourist visa on arrival and Pakistan business visa on arrival.
Pakistani Visa Extension
With the Pakistani e-Visa now available, you can extend your visa online. Depending on the reason behind requesting your extension, you can be allowed up to six months for some and others just one month. Something else worth noting is the fact that for some nationals, this extension is free such as citizens of Ukraine, Belarus, and Austria. However, citizens from Russia, for example, are required to pay up to $80 for the extension to be granted.
Overstaying in Pakistani
Once you get your e-visa or visa of arrival, it is important that you keep the regulations and laws surrounding the validity of the visa. Overstaying in Pakistan can attract fines and penalties depending on the length of the oversay. For example, if you extend for over two weeks illegally, you won’t be charged anything. However, over 2 weeks you can pay somewhere between $20 to $200.
The best thing is to plan your trip accordingly and if you need to overstay, it is important that you notify the relevant authorities. Apparently, for the Pakistan visa, you can ask for extension up to two times. All you need is to take your passport to the Passport office and seek an extension.
